If I choose a Treefam Gene Tree (e.g. for CHEK1)…

In the Gene Tree view, each gene + species entry appears to the right of its position in the tree, in black on cyan, and that's a very clear presentation. If I "mouse-over" the gene, the relevant info appears in the "Gene Information" box on the right. But if I want to explore that gene further, and move my mouse-pointer in a straight line to the Gene Information box, then most often I mouse-over other genes to arrive there, and in so doing the 'selected' gene changes. I could very carefully move my mouse-pointer in a perfect straight line rightward, and then down to the Gene Information box, but it would be SO much easier if each of those gene + species entries were itself a hyperlink, and clicking on it would open the relevant Ensembl page in a new browser tab (so that the original TreeFam tree output were not lost).

    Hi Jim,
thanks a lot for your suggestion.
Indeed, it can happen quite often that when moving the mouse-pointer to the right the selection changes.
This happens mostly because the sequence graphic to the right has a mouseover as well.
How about we remove the mouseover on the sequence representation (the line with the found domains plotted onto it )?
This way we could separate the ways gene and domain information are shown.
